Sandy was an extremely talented musician, the daughter of my piano teacher (Loren Yaggy). She was a student at Julliard, and I am convinced she'd have had a noteworthy career as a concert pianist. In the summer of 1967 I had made plans to visit her in New York when I got word of her drowning (she was trying to save a poor kid at an outing who couldn't swim; unfortunately, neither could she). I went ahead and made the trip, stood outside her apartment, prayed and shed a few tears. A truly tragic loss that I often think about. God rest your soul, Sandy! -- Dan McCroskey
Update: I've been informed that the above account of Sandy's death may not be totally accurate, but that information came from the family at the time....... Dan McC.
