Daniel W McCroskey

IU- AB, 1966; Case Western Reserve- MBA, 1973. Longest time @ any employer- White Motor Corp, 12 years (they went bankrupt in 1980). Retired from MedCentral Health System (internal auditor) @ end of 2010. Jane sadly passed away from cancer in 2018, greatly missed by all of us.

Had to cut way back on running (feet shot; doc implied maybe 25 marathons was too many!). Marine Corps Marathon in DC, Fall 2011- great views of Nation's Capital (My time? Don't ask!)- that was the last 26-er SO FAR.

We used to do a lot of dog fostering & rescue transporting. Right now I have two pit mixes whom we orig fostered & then adopted. One is a certified therapy dog who visits nursing homes, schools, etc. Everyone loves Anna! (Oliver- "macho man", not a good therapy candidate).

Have done taxes for AARP for last 7 years. This season aborted early due to COVID-19 (stay safe, everyone!)

Some memories:
-- "The Day The Music Died" (B. Holly/R. Valens/Big Bopper)- we were all devastated!
-- The way Mr. Drummond would make us play a passage again & again 'til we got it right.
-- The fun of playing the sax @ games of an EXCELLENT HS basketball team!
-- The Latin class "toga party".
-- Friday nite dances- Ricky Nelson, Elvis, "The Twist".
-- Discussing great books in Mrs. Spray's English class.
-- Mr. Wilson for history & government (I think he made me a Democrat!)
-- Working in the Chem lab while John Glenn was orbiting the Earth- fantastic!
